Our Story
How did we get started?

A group of design thinkers got together on a July night in 2016 to work on an OpenIdeo challenge: "Reimagine the end of life experience"
We decided to work on a solution that provides physical and spiritual connections between the patients in the palliative care unit and the world surrounding them.

"Tender memento" project was born on July 13, 2016.

Our wonderful volunteer team will carry out programming events in the palliative care unit that will allow patients to share moments of lightness and life with loved ones and caregivers. Our volunteer film students or photographers will capture these special moments and share these images with loved ones and caregivers.
Question we asked ourselves:
What if life ends not when our heart stops and our blood stops flowing through our body, but by when we stop making memories?
Then, can our lives continue long after we are buried, because we can still stay alive with memories that others have of us?

How might we we create those memories and capture them?
With this tender memento project, the memories with your loved ones will last even after their bodies leave this earth.
